Below are photos and the stories of some of the cats of Amorgos that have benefitted from our program.  Cats in Xilokeratidi typically do not live past the age of two.  The ones listed here, especially those aged three years and up, are the lucky ones, living under the protection of local volunteers.  For more information, please contact us.  Thank You!

SCILLA TIRESIA, female, a few weeks old.

We immediately took her into our program, fed her, gave her antibiotics, and treated her eye. She also received vaccinations and treatments for parasites. Lucky for her, the second eye was saved! Scilla was adopted and travelled to US in September 2008. Her American vet explained that she was already 5 months old when she was found, but looked so small due to being severely undernourished. She now lives happily in NY, has learned English, and enjoys the company of loving companions.
