A Noble and Spirited Character
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved donkey, Frederiki, who lived at our sanctuary from March 2020 until May 15, 2026.
Frederiki was no ordinary donkey. She had a strong and spirited personality, carrying herself with a dignity that often reminded us of an aristocrat. Independent, proud, and always aware of her worth, she had a way of making her presence known and earning the respect of everyone around her.
Before coming to our sanctuary, Frederiki spent many years faithfully serving her owner, Thodoris. They shared a long journey together until serious health issues forced him to leave his home and move to Athens. It was under these difficult circumstances that Frederiki came into our care.
An Unforgettable Final Chapter
Over the six years she spent with us, she became an unforgettable member of our sanctuary family. Her character, her determination, and even her occasional stubbornness brought joy, laughter, and countless memories to all who knew her.
Today, we remember not only the animal we lost but also the remarkable life she lived. We are grateful for the years we shared with her and for the trust she placed in us during the final chapter of her life.
