“Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make the biggest difference for a fragile kitten.”
A Strugglesome Start for a Tiny Soul
When little Kanga was only two and a half months old, life in the stray cat colony was already proving difficult. Kanga was suffering from feline rhinotracheitis and painful inflammation in his eyes. He was being cared for and fed by Kelly, who had travelled all the way from Australia to our island to help its stray cats.
Kelly did everything she could to help this little boy, but when she saw that he wasn’t making enough progress, she knew he needed more intensive care. So, she brought Kanga to our Center. For the next two weeks, Kanga received the treatment, care, and attention he needed. Day by day, his eyes became better, his breathing easier, and his little body stronger.
Reunited and Thriving
And then came the best part… Kanga was ready to go home!
Healthy, stronger, and full of life, he returned to the colony to be reunited with his siblings. There is nothing quite as heartwarming as seeing a rescued kitten return to the place he knows as home, this time feeling so much better. A huge thank you to Kelly for travelling such a long way to help the cats of our island, and for noticing that Kanga needed a little extra help. Welcome back to your colony, sweet Kanga!
