Four Tiny Lives Saved: The Aegiali Bus Stop Kittens 🐾

“An animal’s life does not become less valuable simply because it is small, vulnerable and unable to defend itself.”

Abandoned in a Public Parking Lot

Someone decided that four one-month-old kittens, still nursing and completely unable to survive on their own, should be taken away from their mother and abandoned at the bus stop in Potamos, Aegiali. Not somewhere safe, but inside a public parking lot.

A place where, the moment these tiny babies wandered outside, they could have become nothing more than four little stains beneath the wheels of a car, and drivers might not even have seen them in time. Because abandonment is easy when the ones you leave behind cannot speak for themselves.

A Lucky Turn and a Heartfelt Thank You

But these four babies were lucky in their misfortune. They were found by a couple of tourists spending their holidays on our island, people who could have simply walked away and said, “Not our problem.” Instead, they contacted us for help, and that very same afternoon, the four little kittens were safely brought into our care.

For now, they are being fostered in the home of our coordinator, as our Center is completely full at the moment. At least now they have warmth, food, care, and people who actually care about whether they live or die. To those two wonderful people, we owe a huge THANK YOU.

And to the person who left these babies there, we have just one thing to say: leaving four helpless babies somewhere and walking away is not a “solution.” It is abandonment. Four tiny lives are safe tonight, now their story begins!

How You Can Help
