A tiny cry under a car… a helping hand… a second chance… and a lifetime of love.
A Frightened Kitten in Katapola
Four years ago, a tiny one-month-old kitten was crying nonstop under a car at the port of Katapola, in Amorgos. She was all alone, frightened, and far too small to face the world by herself.
Luckily, Lara was visiting our island on vacation. She heard her cries and called us for help. The little kitten came to our Center, and we named her Agapi — Αγάπη, which means “Love” in Greek.
From Amorgos to France: A Lifetime of Love
And perhaps it was the perfect name for her, because not long after meeting her, Lara decided that Agapi belonged in her family. She adopted her and brought her all the way to her home in France, where she has been loved and cherished ever since.
Now, four years later, Agapi is a happy, beautiful girl — and we couldn't be more grateful to Lara for giving this little kitten the life she deserved. For her 4th birthday, Lara sent us these beautiful photos and a message that melted our hearts:
She is one of our biggest joys. We love her so much.
