Many of you have been asking about Puzzle, so here is a little update!
Puzzle's terrible accident happened in mid-March 2026. He was first treated on the nearby island of Naxos, where he underwent emergency surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia. A few days later he was stable enough to travel, so he was transferred to Athens, where he had two orthopedic surgeries on his hind legs.
Since then, Puzzle has been recovering at our wonderful Peppi's home, where he has been surrounded by love and the best care.
Here's what Peppi says:
"As you can see, his right rear leg is totally fine, the left rear one is getting better and better. He is using it from time to time, but he is so comfortable running with 3 legs. He is very clever and active and we are in love with him. At the end of July he is going on vacation to Amorgos with the rest of my family."
We couldn't be happier with his progress. Considering everything he has been through, Puzzle has shown incredible strength and resilience. Thank you to everyone who supported him, donated, shared his story, and kept him in your thoughts. It truly made a difference.
We will continue to keep you updated as Puzzle enjoys his new life—starting with his summer holiday in Amorgos!
