Iris is Adopted!

UPDATE JUNE 2026

We just received the most beautiful update from Helen, and we couldn't resist sharing her words with you:

“Hi, just wanted to give you an update on Iris - she is doing really well! I never had any issues with her peeing or vomiting anywhere, my other cat and she are getting along just fine, and she is using even the more complicated tools like the feeding toy I have. Thank you again, and what a blessing it is to have her.”

Iris’ heart has found where it belongs.

JANUARY 2026: A Long Journey from Darkness

When Iris arrived at our Center, she was just a tiny, two-month-old kitten. Yet, she had already lost both of her eyes. Instead of discovering the world through light and play, she met it through darkness. She only survived because a kind-hearted woman named Merith cared for her on the streets and brought her to us.

For three whole years, Iris grew up with us. She learned sounds, scents, and the comfort of human touch, waiting patiently and never losing her sweetness. Adoption inquiries came and fell through, and we wondered if her time would ever come.

A New Year, A New Life

And then, a message arrived from Switzerland. Helen reached out and opened her heart to Iris without any conditions. On the very last day of 2025, Iris boarded her flight. The new year didn't find her waiting in a shelter—it found her finally home, safe in a warm house with a loving human mom and a new cat brother by her side.
