A Sudden Threat to a Tiny Life
Little Kostis was born in the courtyard of a welcoming home, where a kind man lovingly cared for his mother. When she first appeared in the neighborhood, she was already heavily pregnant. The man could not bring himself to have her spayed, knowing that her kittens would soon arrive.
Not long afterward, she gave birth to five healthy, chubby babies. The kind man made sure their mother always had the best food, and as the kittens grew, he fed them carefully too, helping them become strong and happy.
One day, however, he noticed that one of the kittens was having trouble standing on his back legs. By evening, little Kostis was dragging them behind him, and by the next morning, he was so weak that he could barely even lift his head. The worried man reached out to us for help.
The Road to a Remarkable Recovery
We immediately contacted our veterinarians in Naxos, who guided us through the first steps of emergency care. Thanks to their advice, by the following morning little Kostis was already showing signs of improvement. He could sit up again and move his head.
That same day, Kostis traveled to Naxos for further examination and treatment. Everyone hoped for the best—and the brave little kitten did not disappoint. Within just two days, he had made a remarkable recovery. Soon, he was back to his cheerful self: playful, curious, and purring happily.
Kostis returned to our center in Amorgos, where he stayed for four more days under close observation. Once we were certain that he was completely well, he was finally reunited with his loving mother and his four siblings. Today, little Kostis is exactly where he belongs—safe, healthy, and surrounded by family.
